A Turtle’s Tribute:

Bret a native of Heavner, Oklahoma was born February 10th, 1960. He was an X-Ray technician and later became a CT Scan Radiographer. He also served in the U. S. Air Force.

Bret was known within the Chorale and elsewhere as a stickler about his appearance.

Bret died February 1st, 2003 in Dallas.

A memorial service was held at the Cathedral of Hope on Saturday, February 8, 2003.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his partner, Richard Kenyan; his parents, Kethern and Gerald Cox; and a brother, Kreg Cox. He was also survived by his beloved dog, Tazz and many fans and friends who loved him very much.

A Turtle’s History

Bret joined the Chorale in 1989. His first performance was in the production of From The Heart in May 1990.

He was with the Chorale through October 1997.

Bret sang Sleigh Ride and No Golden Carriage with ENCORE in the December 1992 production of “Magic!”
