A Turtle’s History

Don first performed with the Chorale in the “OF THEE I SING” concert in June 1984 at the Bob Hope Theater, Southern Methodist University. He sang with the Chorale through March 1989. During that time he was featured in several productions as follow:

BRAVO! – September 1985 – sang “O Fillii et Filiae”, “Holy” & “Echo Song” with the Turtle Creek Jazz

INTERMEZZO – March 1986 – sang “Georgia On My Mind” with the Turtle Creek Jazz

POPS ‘86 – June 1986 – sang “Wave” as a solo and sang “Sincerely” with the Turtle Creek Jazz

POPS ‘87 – June 1987 – sang “Little Shop of Horrors” as part of a Trio, sang “Rio” in the South American Medley as part of an Octet and sang “Little Shop of Horrors” as part of a Trio

SPOTLIGHT ‘88 – August 1988 – sang “Go Visit Your Grandmother” as a solo and sang as part of the cast in “Gee, But It’s Great to be Here”, “A Tribute to George & Ira Gershwin”, “On Broadway”, “Music Hall”, “Return of the Flower Children” & “Finale Medley”

Don served as the Publicity Coordinator and Program Design & Layout Coordinator during the 4th Chorale season. In the Chorale’s 5th season he was Cover Design Coordinator. He also served as Cover Design Coordinator during the 7th Chorale season and in the 8th and 9th seasons was Program Design & Layout Coordinator.

Don passed away on November 1, 1992.
