A Turtle’s Tribute:

Kent was born in South Dakota and lived in Houston before moving to Dallas. He designed floral arrangements for the Flower Market on Mockingbird Lane. He was past president of Lutheran Concerns.

Kent died Sunday, September 22, 1991 at his home in Irving. A memorial service was held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Irving.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his companion, Robert L. Gutirrez of Irving; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Richard A Naasz of Alexandria, South Dakota; and five brothers, Terry, Bruce, Mark, Paul and Tim Naasz all of Alexandria.

From Carolyn David:

I knew Kent in the last few years of his life, as I worked with his companion. Kent was one of the most gentle, loving, and nurturing souls I have ever met. He bore the difficulties of life with patience and grace. He was a talented florist. He had several dogs whom he loved dearly, and their devotion to him was beautiful to see. I think it’s true to say that people who knew Kent were enriched by the experience. He brought out he best in people because that is what he brought to the table. A noble soul, who is remembered and missed to this day. May he rest in peace.
