A Turtle’s Tribute:

Philip was born on January 4, 1952 in Lamar, Colorado. He graduated from Farmington High School and went on to earn a degree in Organ Performance from Baylor University.

He served as organist for Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Andrew Catholic Church. He was associated with Redman Organ Company and he was a member of Associated Organ Builders of America.

Philip was a member of the Chorale as a Tenor II for a short time. His first performance was Free To Be Me in September 2003. His last performance was Festive Flashbacks in December 2004.

Philip passed away on Saturday August 6, 2005.

The Funeral Mass was held at Saint Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He will be interred in New Mexico.

At the time of his death, Philip was survived by his parents, Oran E. and Juanita Steen Poff; brothers Stanley Eugene Poff and his wife Holly, and Douglas Lane Poff.
