A Turtle’s Tribute:

Rick was born August 11, 1958 in Wichita Falls. He graduated from Hirschi High School in 1976.

He was a sales representative for Wolf Gordon Wall coverings in Los Angeles, California. He lived in Los Angeles for 16 years before returning to Dallas. He was a volunteer for various organizations and attended Cathedral of Hope Church.

Rich passed away on March 26, 1997.

Services were held April 1, 1997 at the Crestview Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Thompson pastor of the Colonial Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Crestview Memorial Park.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his mother, Barbara Wayda and step-father, Bob Wayda of Wichita Falls; his father, Buster Andrus of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Mark Andrus of Yukon, Okalhoma an Steve Murphy of Wichita Falls; a sister, Leesa Reyes of Burkburnett; and two step-sisters, Terri Medors of Arlington, Texas and Karen McGovern of Fort Worth.

A Turtle’s History

Rick joined the Chorale in 1996.

His first performance was in “Voices of Life” in February

Rick sang with the Chorale in two Concerts:

On Our Own in October 1996

Simply Christmas Through The Eyes of A Child in December 1996.

He was a member of the Tenor I section.

Rick died March 26, 1997 and is buried in Wichita Falls, TX
