A Turtle’s Tribute:
William L. (Bill) Jagoe, Jr., 65, joined the ultimate chorus on October 9, 2015. Born on April 24, 1950, Bill worked in the insurance industry in Connecticut, Texas and Maryland for many years before retiring in Florida.
He joined the Turtle Creek Chorale in its infancy and remained an active member until he made a career move out of state. In Florida he was active with an HIV/AIDS organization, serving on the board of directors. He loved The University of Florida Gators, talking politics, movies,musicals, cooking, Key West where he celebrated his 50th and 65th birthdays, commemorated with a tattoo just months before his death and a little fur ball of a Sheltie named Gracie.
Bill was preceded in death by his sister Cathy Jagoe Collins in 2012 and his father William L. Jagoe, Sr. in 2014.
He is survived by his mother Claire Jagoe of Lake City, Florida, nephew Brian Anderson of Seminole, Florida, aunt Arlene O. Brien of Seminole, Florida and brother-in-law Jim Collins of Live Oak, Florida. His beloved, Gracie, will live out her life frolicking on Jim’s farm where Bill’s ashes were scattered.
